VPCM Introduces Trade-Up Program, RM 3,000 Rebate On New Model
所有资讯In a sort of way, this is a bridge between leasing and buying a car - but is it enough to attract Malaysian Volkswagen owners?
Hire-purchase loans are a way of life here, but this isn't the case in many other countries. No, when it comes to new cars there is a not insignificant number of consumers in western countries that would prefer to lease rather than buy - especially if they know that they are going to get a newer model in a couple of years. The idea of leasing still hasn't quite caught on locally, but Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia may have found something to bridge the gap with Das WeltAuto.
The Trade-Up campaign looks to current owners of the Touran, Cross Touran, Sharan, Passat CC, and Passat B7, with the aim to get them into a brand-new Volkswagen. Trading in your older model for any new Volkswagen model will see an additional RM 3,000 rebate - and this applies to all models, including the Arteon R-Line, Tiguan Allspace, and Passat Elegance.
All models are accepted for trade-in and undergo a strict 113 point check conducted by Volkswagen certified technicians. Cars that are taken in will be sold with a 1-year additional warranty and 1-year roadside assistance for better peace of mind, and these vehicles are inspected to ensure they are accident free, completely serviced, and fitted with genuine parts.
In a way, this is very similar to how a lease operates as you are looking for a new model at the end of your contract - but at the same time, it doesn't quite have the commitment requirements, mileage caps, and so on that a lease would have. Das WeltAuto is available at eight Volkswagen dealerships: Volkswagen Puchong, Volkswagen Gombak, Volkswagen Glenmarie, Volkswagen Tebrau, Volkswagen Alor Setar, Volkswagen Juru, Volkswagen Ipoh, and Volkswagen Skudai.
