VPCM Appoints Kurt Leitner As New Co-Managing Director

With multi-national car companies, it's normal for managing directors and higher level staff to come and go as they travel around the region. They each bring their own particular style and direction, which in turn helps shape a brand's presence locally. Florian Steiner has been a Co-Managing Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) for the last four years, but his tenure here is up and he will be moving back to Europe.

Taking his place is Kurt Leitner, who will be working alongside Erik Winter - VPCM's other Managing Director. Leitner has had a long and storied career within the group, with experience across various aspects of different brands, including being the Managing Director of Porsche Romania for four years. Much like Winter, Leitner will have a dual role as a Managing Director for both Malaysia and Singapore. 

While Winter will continue to look after the sales, aftersales, dealer network, and marketing operations, Leitner will be handling human resources, information technology, and finance. With each month, VPCM steps up their customer-centric strategies, and a strong upcoming product line-up and aggressive aftersales enhancements under the Volkswagen Cares brand promise help to continue growth in this highly competitive marketplace.
