Volkswagen Golf R 3-Door Open for Booking in Malaysia – RM268,888, Only 10 Units

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) today announced that a special batch of 3-door Golf R units is now open for booking.

Limited to only 10 units in Malaysia, the 3-door Golf R, which comes only in Lapiz Blue, is priced at RM 268,888, which is RM10,000 cheaper than the 5-door Golf R which asks for RM278,888.

Similar to its 5-door sibling, the 3-door Golf R comes with a new 2.0 TSI turbocharged engine and a 7-speed wet clutch direct shift gearbox (DSG), producing 290 PS and 380 Nm of torque which is sent to all four wheels via the 4Motion all-wheel drive system.

Key features include:

• R ‘Vienna’ perforated leather seats
• 19” Pretoria alloy wheels
• 12.3” Active Info Display
• 9.2” Discover Pro with App-Connect with Gesture Control
• LED headlights with Dynamic Cornering Lights
• LED taillights with Dynamic Indicators
• Progressive steering

However, there are a few features in the 5-door Golf R, which the 3-door doesn’t get, such as the KESSY keyless locking and engine starting system, exterior mirror memory function, and a power-adjustable driver seat.
