Toyota C-HR’s Price For Malaysia Estimated At RM145,500, Launch In Q1 2018
所有资讯After months of previews and teasers, UMW Toyota Motor has finally confirmed that the upcoming Toyota C-HR will be launched in early-2018 with an estimated priced of RM145,500 (excluding insurance). The offered price is limited only to customers who’ve pre-registered earlier.
As speculated earlier, the Malaysian specifications C-HR will be offered with only a single variant – a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated Dual VVT-i petrol engine paired to a CVT-type automatic with seven virtual ratios. It’s only available as a two-wheel drive (front).
Toyota has yet to announce any specifics with regards to the C-HR’s launch timing, but it is said to be within the first quarter of 2018.
Key highlights of the C-HR include:
- Halogen projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights and follow-me home function
- LED tail lights
- Automatic rain-sensing wipers
- Keyless Smart Entry with engine push-start button
- Dual-zone automatic air-conditioning
- Auto dimming rear-view mirror
- Black leather seats
- 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 6 speakers and reverse camera
- 7 airbags
- Electronic stability and traction control (VSA and TRC)
- Hill-start assist control
- Blind spot monitor

- Tyre pressure monitoring system
Colour options include White Pearl CS, Metal Stream Metallic, Attitude Black Mica and two more two-tone paints - Blue Metallic with Black roof, Red Mica with Black roof.
The Toyota C-HR will be imported from Thailand. When it goes on sale in Malaysia next year, it will compete against the Japan-made 2.0-litre Mazda CX-3 (from RM135,082). There are also the locally-assembled 2.0-litre Mitsubishi ASX and 1.8-litre Honda HR-V, but with a starting price of RM119,100 and RM98,060 respectively (both excluding insurance), neither the Mitsubishi nor the Honda is going to be troubled by the C-HR.
