All cash lanes on major highways in Malaysia has been converted to only accept electronic payments effective today. With this, motorists can no longer make cash payments as toll operators will now only accept payments made using PLUSMiles, Touch ‘n Go or SmartTag.

The affected highways are North-South Expressway (NSE), North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Federal Highway Route 2 (Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau), Seremban-Port Dickson Highway, Butterworth-Kulim Expressway, Linkedua Highway, and the Penang Bridge.

"Starting today, no more cash toll payments will be accepted. PLUS highway users are required to pay toll electronically using PlusMiles card, Touch 'n Go Card or SmartTag," said PLUS Malaysia managing director Datuk Azman Ismail.

To facilitate this migration, sales of Touch N' Go cards and top up lanes will be opened for 24 hours at all toll plazas.
