Spyshot: Nissan Navara-based Terra Spied, Set To Challenge Fortuner And Everest

The Nissan Navara-based Terra has been caught undisguised ahead of the model’s debut in China.

Set to compete against the Ford Everest, Isuzu MU-X and Toyota Fortuner, the Terra is based on the same ladder frame platform as the Navara NP300.

Strictly a five-seater model, the Nissan Terra’s length comes in at 4,882 mm, 1,850 mm wide and 1,835 mm tall. Wheelbase is 2,850 mm. All the other SUVs are seven-seaters. 

According to Autohome, the upcoming Nissan Terra is powered by a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated QR25 petrol engine with 184 hp.

Design wise, the Nissan Terra features the company’s V-Motion front fascia. The Nissan Terra can be had with LED projector headlights or regular halogen units, though the latter is not fitted with DRLs. Elsewhere, it appears that some variants of the Nissan Terra could be fitted with Around View Monitor (AVM), Nissan’s 360° camera solution.

Seeing that the Nissan Navara NP300 comes fully-imported from Thailand, the Terra could arrive here via the same method. If the Terra does arrive here, we can expect the model to be fitted with Nissan’s YD25 turbodiesel engines.
