Spyshot: All-New Range Rover Velar Spotted In Malaysia, Launching Soon?

It appears that Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia will be introducing its new mid-sized luxury SUV called the Range Rover Velar pretty soon, as one of our readers sent in these photos of the new model somewhere in town.

From these spyshots, we can confirm that at least one variant of the Velar will be the Velar P250, powered by a 2.0-litre Ingenium turbocharged petrol engine capable of 250 hp and 365 Nm. The engine is mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission.

Additionally, the photos also indicated that there are likely two variants of the new Velar, namely the regular Velar and the Velar R-Dynamic.

Visually, we noticed that the Velar is fitted with 20-inch 7 split-spoke Style 7014 alloy wheels, and the standard exterior pack with satin black lower bumper finish.

The Velar R-Dynamic on the other hand is fitted with the R-Dynamic Black Pack with Narvik Black finishing on the air curtain inserts, Range Rover and tailgate wordings, lower air blade, grille mesh, and side vents. Additionally, the Velar R-Dynamic seen here is fitted with 21-inch 10 spoke Style 1033 alloy wheels with satin dark grey finish.

In terms of equipment, the Range Rover Velar is expected to come with a long list of equipment, including:

• Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with a large 10-inch touchscreen
• Dual-zone climate control with air quality sensor
• 250W audio system with 8 speakers
• Automatic LED headlights
• Follow-me-home lighting
• Torque Vectoring by Braking

• Low Traction Launch

Late last year, the company announced that they are looking to introduce the Range Rover Velar as soon as the second quarter of this year.

The Ranger Rover Velar is produced at Jaguar Land Rover’s Solihull plant in England.
