Spied: First Undisguised Pictures Of Proton’s Upcoming Ertiga

The first undisguised images of the Proton’s upcoming B-Segment MPV based on the Suzuki Ertiga, have leaked through the Proton Ertiga Community (Malaysia) Facebook page. The latest round of spy shots were picked up by our friends at Funtasticko, revealing details of the side and rear of the MPV.

Proton's all-new MPV which is rumoured for launch in November, might take on a new name come time for its introduction, different from Ertiga, which it's commonly referred to currently. 

Earlier spy shots of the car wearing camouflage hinted that the Ertiga was in the final stages of development, the newest images albeit grainy, indicate some aesthetic detail of the body colour options, rear bumper and design of the alloy wheels.  

The Ertiga MPV is the first joint-venture product through the national carmaker’s alliance with Suzuki, which was forged in 2015.

Based on available specifications of its Suzuki donor vehicle, it is likely that the Ertiga will be powered by the same 1.4-litre four-cylinder VVT petrol engine as seen on the Swift.The Ertiga will the final model to be launched – delivering on Proton’s promise of four all-new models in 2016, after the introductions of the Perdana, Persona and Saga models respectively.
