Unlike the Megane GT's twin muffler set up, the Megane RS will get a pair of centrally-mounted mufflers. A lone RS emblem can be seen below the right tail light. The company did not say what powerplant will the Megane RS feature, but a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine is likely. Power figures are said to be in the 300 hp region, going exclusively to the front wheels via a six-speed manual, or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, a first for the Megane RS.
