Porsche Applies The GTS Treatment Onto Its Targa 4 For Detroit Auto Show

Joining its SUV brother on stage at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show is the Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS, joining the 911 coupe and convertible in receiving the GTS treatment. So, if you’re looking for just that little bit more out of the 911 but the GT3 is too hardcore for you and the standard 911 Targa 4 is not edgy enough, this is the car for you.

Like the coupe and convertible, the Targa 4 GTS gets a power boost with the 3.8-litre flat-six now pumping out 430 hp, a 30 hp increase. Maximum torque stands at 440 Nm. All that power is sent through either a 7-speed manual or PDK gearbox and all-wheel drive system with the 0-100 km/h sprint achieved in just 4.3 seconds.

The Porsche Targa 4 GTS also comes with the Sport Chrono Package, PASM chassis, sport exhaust system and 20-inch Turbo S black wheels with central lock as standard. Other features include smoked bi-xenon headlights, new door mirrors and black accents on the model logo, chrome tailpipes and GTS logos on the doors.

Inside the cabin, you’ll be greeted by Sport Plus seats with GTS logos on the headrests, black Alcantara trim and a stopwatch that comes standard with the Sport Chrono package.
