主页 新闻 所有资讯 MIROS And 3M Launch Regional Road Safety Award MIROS And 3M Launch Regional Road Safety Award 所有资讯 Siew Weng | April 05日, 2018 09:03 AM Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) together with 3M Malaysia, the global science company with a rich history of road safety innovation recently launched the ‘3M Road Safety Award for Southeast Asia’.The award, which is open to individuals, government and non-government organisations intends to encourage and recognise road safety initiatives that are impactful, innovative, sustainable and replicable in Southeast Asia.“We are pleased to collaborate with 3M Malaysia for a regional award that focuses on improving road safety in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Road safety is an important and serious issue that affects each country within the region, and we believe it is the responsibility of both the government and its citizens to help reduce accidents and fatalities on roads.“It is our earnest hope that this award empowers a region-wide effort to improve road safety not just for us, but for future generations as well,” said Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, Chairman of MIROS.“We are honoured to be the sponsor for this award. Through our partnership with MIROS, we are excited to be able to launch the 3M Road Safety Award for Southeast Asia. As a leader in road safety innovation for over 75 years, we are constantly looking at complementary ways to make roadways safer. “We believe that the award will not only inculcate the importance of reducing road traffic injuries and deaths within and beyond Malaysia’s borders, but also encourage innovative thinking to accelerate the pace of effective road safety measures” said Mr. Parameswaran Nair, Managing Director of 3M Malaysia.Submission, through http://award.miros.gov.my/v4/# - ends at 11:59pm on 31 July 2018. The first tier will involve competition between submissions within the same country.Submissions with top scores for that country will then compete with top score submissions across other Southeast Asia countries in the second evaluation tier.Four winners will be announced during an award ceremony on 4th Dec 2018, in conjunction with the second Conference of ASEAN Road Safety 2018 (CARS 2018).
