MINI Countryman PHEV Dedicated Website Is Up - Malaysian Debut Soon?

After much anticipation, the arrival of the new MINI Countryman Plug-in Hybrid is finally upon us as MINI Malaysia has launched a dedicated website for the model.

Besides having all the information about the new Countryman PHEV, the website also allows those who are interested in the crossover, to register their interest via an online form in the site. 

Powered by the same 1.5-litre engine as the Cooper which is paired with a 88 hp electric motor, the Countryman PHEV pushes outputs up to 224 hp and 385 Nm.

Capable of travelling up to 125 km/h and up to 40 kilometres on battery power alone, the hybrid Countryman is available exclusively as an all-wheel drive model, with the front wheels driven by the engine and rear powered by the electric motor.

As far as charging is concerned, the crossover can be charged fully through a home domestic socket or a wallbox over a period of 2 to 3 hours.

That being said, key exterior features include “E” emblems on the radiator grille, side scuttles and door sills, 17-inch Light Spoke alloy wheels, hybrid-specific displays on the instrument cluster, a 6.5-inch screen, as well as an eDRIVE toggle switch.
