Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Introduces S400h AMG Line, Prices Unchanged

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced a new variant of the S400h, called the S400h AMG Line, which includes unique AMG bits both in and out of the company's flaghsip saloon. 

Outside, the Mercedes-Benz S400h AMG Line is differentiated by its unique front and rear bumpers. Versus the regular S400h, the AMG Line variant features a front bumper that's less fussy looking with a large lower air intake. As for the rear end, the rear reflectors are mounted closer to each muffler tip and the overall bumper design appears to be more angular than the S400h. The chrome strip that was on the S400h is no longer present on the AMG Line variant. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has also fitted 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels here, downsizing from the S400h's 20-inch wheels. 

As for the interior, the Mercedes-Benz S400h AMG Line features a dark interior with wood trim, as opposed to the cream interior of the regular S400h. The cream-coloured leather seats on the S400h have been replaced with dark brown seats on the sportier AMG Line variant. Completing the interior of the AMG Line variant are the AMG sports pedals.

Powertrain remains unchanged, with power coming from a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that does 306 hp and 370 Nm. A 7G-Tronic seven-speed torque converter automatic sends drive to the rear wheels.

Prices remain unchanged from before, starting from RM598,888. All S400h models will now come with AMG Line trim but for customers who prefer the regular car's non-AMG Line look, limited stocks are still available at Mercedes-Benz dealers.
