Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 And CLS 450 Launched In Malaysia - Mild Hybrid Powertrain, From RM530k

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia today announced the expansion of its Dream Cars range with the introduction of four new models which included the CLS 350 and also the CLS 450.

The estimated prices (0% GST) for the two models mentioned above are:

• Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 – RM530,000
• Mercedes-Benz CLS 450 – RM654,751

While the CLS 350 is powered by a 2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder petrol engine producing 299 hp and 400 Nm of torque, the CLS 450 comes with a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder petrol engine which makes 367 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired to the 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic gearbox.

Both models, which are imported from Germany, are mild hybrids as they receive the Integrated Starter Generator (EQ Boost) which boosts power by 10 hp for the CLS 350, and 22 hp for the CLS 450.

Thanks to their respective powertrains, the CLS 350 and CLS 450 are able to do the century sprint in 6-seconds and 4.8-seconds respectively, and achieve a top speed of 250 km/h.

Key features on the CLS 450’s exterior include a diamond grille with a single louvre, flat Multibeam LED headlights, Edgelight tail lamps with 3D effects, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the CLS 450 gets:

The exclusivity of the CLS can be further heightened with the Edition 1 (only available for the CLS 450 and AMG CLS 53) which will be available only about a year after the launch, which includes extra features like the Copper Art interior concept with black nappa leather upholstery, copper coloured accents, and a unique diamond grille with matte chrome pins.

As for the CLS 350, details are to follow soon as the model just made its global debut recently, and is expected to arrive in Malaysia towards year-end.
