Malaysia-Spec Mazda CX-9 Detailed, Priced from RM289,000, Two Variants Available

Ahead of its official debut next week, Bermaz has previewed the Malaysia-spec Mazda CX-9 at the ongoing Malaysia Autoshow. Unlike the Australia-spec model that was sold here earlier, our local CX-9 models now feature Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control (GVC).

Set to arrive in two variants, the Mazda CX-9 will be powered by the company’s 2.5-litre turbocharged SkyActiv-G petrol engine with 228 hp and 420 Nm. Power is sent to either the front or all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission, depending on variant.

The only diffrence between both variants is the drivetrain. Standard safety equipment for both variants include:

• Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
• Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)

Prices start from RM281,449 for the Mazda CX-9 2WD, while the AWD variant costs RM297,349. Both prices are OTR without insurance, inclusive of GST and road tax.

Maintenance wise, Bermaz is backing the Mazda CX-9 with a 3 year free maintenance or 60,000 km package. The fully-imported Mazda CX-9 is backed by a 5 year or 100,000 km manufacturer warranty.
