LEAKED: Is This The All-New 2016 Hyundai Elantra AD?

While we in Malaysia have only just gotten the 2015 Hyundai Elantra facelift on the market, it looks like the Korean carmaker is already about to reveal an all-new next-generation Elantra. Here’s a leaked photo that first surfaced on indianautosblog.

The all-new Elantra (codenamed Elantra AD) is expected to hit showrooms in Korea mid this year, and apart from the new looks, is believed to feature an all-new platform, a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine (1.6 T-GDI), as well as the company’s new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission: both things Kia’s latest Cerato offers as well.

Design wise, it looks as though Hyundai is bringing the Elantra up to scratch with its latest models like the refreshed Hyundai i40 and the all-new Hyundai Tucson – Fluidic Sculpture V1 is out of here.

For further details, we’ll have to wait until Hyundai reveals its Elantra in full, which likely happens April/ May 2015.
