LEAKED: All-New Renault Megane Revealed Before Its Frankfurt Debut

The Renault Megane is currently in its third generation with an all-new iteration scheduled to debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, which is only a few days away. However, thanks to Italian site, Car Passion, leaked official photos of the new four-door hatch gives us a very clear look at the challenger to the Ford Focus, Volkswagen Golf, and Peugeot 308.

Strong influences from Renault’s recent introduction, the Talisman, can be seen on this new Megane (seen here apparently in a GT trim level) beginning with the front face that features a new grille design and mesh accompanying it. The headlights now adopt the similar C-shaped design of the Talisman, while the lighting elements appear to be of the LED variety now, including the larger fog lamps. There is also a more muscular hood design as well.

Moving on to the profile of the all-new Renault Megane, there are side gills on the car’s fenders and alloy wheels with an interesting design as well.

At the rear, more elements of the Talisman are noticed, most obviously with the taillights which run across nearly the length of the rear hatch. More pronounced exhaust tips are also seen along with a larger rear spoiler.

Inside, the cabin gets a substantial update with a large portrait-style layout multimedia touchscreen display dominating the dashboard. New materials are also used throughout the interior that features blue accents on various parts of trim. In this GT trim level, an emblem is located on the three-spoke steering wheel with large paddle shifters found behind them.

More details about the all-new Renault Megane will be revealed when it makes its debut in Frankfurt real soon, including the powertrain and other technologies.

It must be noted that the Megane sold in Malaysia is only found in its three-door hot hatch Renault Sport variants, namely the R.S. 265, which had its facelift model recently launched in Malaysia.
