Kia And K-Pop Sensation Blackpink All Set To Rock KL This Month

K-Pop fans in Malaysia have a reason to rejoice as Korean super girl group Blackpink will be performing in Kuala Lumpur later this month.

Presented by Kia Motors, the ‘In Your Area’ concert, which is part of Blackpink’s 2019 World Tour, will take place on the 23rd and 24th of February at the Malawati Indoor Stadium, Shah Alam.

In conjunction with the concert, Kia Malaysia is also organizing a Valentine’s Day Contest where two lucky winners will win a pair of Red Zone concert tickets, and exclusive Sound Check and Send-Off passes to meet and greet Blackpink members Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa.

To participate, just test drive any Kia car at KIA showrooms, snap a photo and upload it on either Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #KiaMalaysiaBLACKPINK to be in the running. The contest, which is open to all Malaysians is valid from 1st to 17th February 2019.

Kia Malaysia will also be showcasing a booth at the concert grounds where fans and visitors can stand a chance to win exclusive Blackpink autographed CDs.

All one needs to do is show off their best Blackpink-inspired dance choreography or carpool karaoke skills to Blackpink songs, and post a video or photo of it on Facebook or Instagram with the official hashtag #MovewithKiaMalaysia.

Last but not the least, Malaysian singer Alvin Chong is also set to make an appearance at the Kia booth on Sunday, 24th February 2019 from 3 pm onwards before Blackpink’s performance starts.

The partnership between Kia and Blackpink marks the first of many K-pop collaborations to be announced in 2019 by the Korean automotive manufacturer, aimed at establishing a closer connection to the younger generation through a new K-Pop-inspired outreach campaign.
