JPJ Offering 70% Discount On All Summonses During Merdeka Month
所有资讯Dengan laungan Merdeka! Merdeka! sekali lagi kita bebas daripada tanggungjawab membayar penuh saman JPJ dan SPAD.
In an early Merdeka and Hari Raya Aidiladha present, JPJ and SPAD are offering a 70 percent discount on all summonses from August 1-31.
“A 70 percent reduction is being offered based on the current compound rate available in the RTD system and as stipulated for cases under the Acts,” announced Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
“The discount is given to all compoundable summonses issued by JPJ and the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) for offences under the Road Transport Act and Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board Act and other rules and orders under it,” Wee added.
You can pay your summonses at all JPJ branches nationwide, including various urban transformation centres (UTC) and other payment channels like JPJ’s mySIKAP portal, JPJ Kiosk, and JPJ Mobile.
The discounts also apply to blacklisted cases but for blacklisted offenders, you are required to be present in person at a JPJ branch or state office.
If you're unsure as to whether you may have a JPJ summon pending, then visit their website to check.
This must be an initiative to recoup some of the RM800 million worth of summons owed to JPJ dating all the way back to 2010 which remain unpaid.
