DBKL also plans to rent out (up to 200) lots to traders with business licenses to operate stalls during the Ramadan period and other festive seasons if the road closure is deemed to be successful.Federal Territories minister Khalid Abd Samad said DBKL had conducted an online survey prior to announcing the road closure, where a majority of respondents had agreed with the closure.Samad said the move, in addition to the safety of pedestrian and shoppers, was to safeguard the interests of local business owners who were not able to do business at the old site of the Ramadan Bazaar.
