Honda Malaysia Launches Jazz Mugen And BR-V Special Edition

You would be surprise how well these limited edition models sell. Granted, they aren't much more than aesthetic and trim pieces, but they offer a unique exclusive touch that keeps a model looking fresher and a little more resilient to the passing of time. Honda's latest offerings here in Malaysia are the Jazz Mugen and BR-V Special Edition. They'll be limited to just 300 units each, and being some of the most sought after Honda models you can be sure that they'll be taken up quickly.

In the case of the Jazz Mugen, there's an all-around Mugen body kit - hence the name - which makes it look a tad bit more aggressive and inherently sportier as a result. The Front Aero Bumper, LED Front Fog Lights, Sport Front Grille, and Tailgate Garnish are the standout pieces, along with the Side Under Spoiler, Rear Under Spoiler, and Tailgate Spoiler to balance out the looks.

With 90,000 units of the Honda Jazz on Malaysian roads spanning three generations, it's a popular model for those that want to abandon the sedan-centric mindset most Malaysians have. Apart from the aesthetics, much of the features are the same with six airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, Anti-Lock Braking System, and ISO Fix. Pricing stands at RM 88,600 for Modern Steel Metallic, and RM 88,720 for White Orchid Pearl, limited to 300 units across both colours. Prices are on the road, excluding insurance. 

As for the BR-V Special Edition, this model sees fewer aesthetic enhancements in exchange for more features and functionality. The exterior gets a new Tailgate Spoiler, Running Board, and Side Step Garnish for a little bit of spice, but the party piece is the 6.8-inch Infotainment System with Smartphone Connectivity for a wealth of convenience. This special edition model comes in tandem with the introduction of the Passion Red Pearl paint colour, replacing the Dark Ruby Red Pearl of before.

The BR-V Special Edition goes for RM 90,700 for the Passion Red Pearl model, and RM 91,000 for the White Orchid Pearl - both places on the road, excluding insurance.
