Ford and Lego reveal Mustang and F-150 Raptor kits

Ford, in collaboration with Lego, has revealed the F-150 Raptor and Mustang Lego kits earlier this week. 

While the 185-piece Mustang kit includes a time board and race driver, the 664-piece F-150 Raptor set includes a well-equipped garage, trailer, a drag racing Christmas tree and Model A hot rod, plus a crew of Ford workers to ensure top-quality work.

According to Ford, its licensing and design teams worked closely with the Denmark-based Lego team throughout development and product design, collaborating on every detail down to the packaging and marketing materials.

“The Lego Group is one of the world’s top toy companies and is loved by children and adults around the globe,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford’s president of The Americas. “Many of us grew up playing with Lego, so this is a dream project for many of us – including our engineers.”

“Each LEGO Ford car tells a story and has infinite play possibilities. With these new sets, kids can play out their ultimate car fantasies. They are able to role play and become the LEGO minifigure, stepping into the greatest cars on earth,” said Jill Wilfert, vice president, licensing and entertainment at The Lego Group. 

Priced at $14.99 (RM66.07) for the Mustang, and $49.99 (RM220.33) for the F-150 Raptor in the United States, there has not been any official announcement if the toy will be available in Malaysia in the near future.

However, looking at the brand’s popularity here, we can expect the kits to be available on local shores later this year.
