Much like the facelifted A-Class range introduced earlier in the year, the CLA 45 AMG sports sedan seen here sports the suite of exterior and interior updates.
At the front, there's a redesigned apron, a new A-Wing design with front splitter inserts in matt-titanium grey and gloss-black bumper canards. At the rear, there's a new AMG bootlid spoiler and the bumper insert design is new. AMG claim, the additions have contributed to a lower overall drag coefficient (Cd) value. The updated LED headlamps are also included as standard on the facelift model.
A new 19-inch (8Jx19) cross-spoke light alloy wheel design now joins the range.
The interior also benefits from new seat covers and trim parts, as well as chrome-plated controls. Another highlight is the dashboard trim - now appointed with a matt-printed finish. The facelift also introduces the AMG 'Dinamica' Cockpit Package, which appoints trim elements and the steering wheel with Dinamica microfibre suede upholstery.
The infotainment system is updated with a new free-standing 8-inch media display unit. The instrument cluster and needles also feature a new design on the facelifted car.
Globally, the engine range for the facelifted CLA starts with the CLA 180 which utilises a (109hp) 1.6-litre in-line four, to the CLA 45 AMG which delivers 381hp and 475Nm of torque from its 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. The CLA 220 4Matic is a new addition to the line-up, featuring a 2.0-litre 184hp engine mated to the 7G-Tronic dual-cutch transmission. Specifications may vary from locally available models.
The facelifted CLA is scheduled for launch in Malaysia later this month.
