Detroit 2019: Lexus LC Convertible Concept For More Style

The stunning Lexus LC coupe is set to be accompanied by another beauty: the Convertible concept.

An open-air convertible that is an artful reflection of the LC coupe, the design goal of the Convertible concept was the expression of "ultimate beauty".

From the rake of the windshield to the smooth contours of the rear decklid that houses the convertible top, every line on the LC Convertible concept was drawn to evoke an emotional response. Lexus says the LC Convertible concept stands as an aspirational halo vehicle for the entire lineup.

"This concept takes the unmistakable design of the LC coupe and reimagines it as a future convertible," said Tadao Mori, Chief Designer of the LC Convertible concept. "It blends all the best aspects of the original coupe with the dynamic design of an open-air convertible."

Lexus will officially unveil the LC Convertible concept tomorrow as part of their vehicle lineup at the 2019 North American International Auto Show (Detroit 2019).

Here in Malaysia, the Lexus LC 500 coupe retails from RM1,242,000. The closest competitor to the future road-going LC 500 Convertible will be the Mercedes-Benz S560 Cabriolet, priced from RM1,405,888.
