Chevron Malaysia Launches Delo 400 MGX engine oil

Chevrom Malaysia, marketers of the Caltex brand in Malaysia recently introduced the Caltex Delo 400 MGX engine oil for the commercial vehicle segment in Malaysia. The new Delo 400 MGX (SAE 15W-40) is formulated with the firm’s ‘Isosyn’ technology conforming to API CJ-4 standards for use in heavy-duty diesel engines.

Isosyn combines premium base oils, high-performance additives and good ‘ol Chevron expertise to produce a lubricant that optimises engine protection, delivers robust soot dispersancy and controls the build-up of sludge.

The Caltex Delo 400 MGX series is compatible with both newer and older diesel engines. This allows users to utilise one oil grade which is applicable in both low- and high sulphur diesel fuel environments.

The Caltex Delo 400 MGX was thoroughly field tested in trucks using up to 5000ppm sulfur-level diesel fuels to ascertain its capability in neutralising harmful acids and retain its alkalinity. The lubricant’s ability to neutralise harmful acids and retain its Total Base Number (TBN) crucially allows extended oil-drain intervals of up to 80,000km.

The Caltex Delo 400 MGX SAE 15W-40, is currently available in drum packaging through Chevron’s appointed distributors at a recommended selling price of RM9.50/Litre.
