BMW Thailand has announced prices for the all-new G20 3 Series which is scheduled for public launch end of March at the Bangkok Motor Show.

Joining the popular sedan at the region’s best motor show is the all-new G29 BMW Z4.

Consumers who are looking forward to the new sports sedan will again only have the option of two four-cylinder engines, consuming either petrol or diesel fuel.

The all-new BMW 330i will feature the heavily revised 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Being fully-imported initially, the 330i in M Sport package will be priced from 3.359 million Baht.

In Thailand, where diesel models are gaining in popularity, BMW will offer the 320d in Sport line package together with a more competitive price.

Generating the same 400 Nm as its petrol counterpart but with a naturally lower peak horsepower rating of 190 hp, the 320d is priced from 2.959 million Baht, similar levels to the AMG-packaged Mercedes-Benz C 220d that is locally-assembled.

For reference, the outgoing F30 BMW 320d was priced from 2.459 million Baht, while the 330e plug-in hybrid was priced from 2.759 million Baht in 2018.

Moving to the all-new Z4, two different engine types allow for a significant difference in price positioning. The strict two-seat soft-top convertible Z4 30i that is equipped with the same 2.0-litre 258 hp engine as the 330i is priced from 3.999 million Baht.

The head-lining Z4 M40i is priced one million Baht more at 4.999 million Baht. The 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine delivers outputs of 340 hp and 500 Nm torque, placed on a chassis that has more dedicated M components such as adaptive dampers, sports braking system, electronically-controlled locking rear differential, and 19-inch wheels.
