Wearnes had also recently opened a prominent Aston Martin facility in Singapore over the weekend. The announcement itself was made just before the Malaysian premiere of Spectre, the latest in a line of movies in which Aston Martin’s have had a long and interconnected history. There, guests were treated to the rare V12 Zagato which was on display.Patrik Nilsson, Aston Martin Asia Pacific Regional Director, said: “Aston Martin is an iconic marque of unrivalled heritage, and we are pleased to have Wearnes on board with us in Malaysia. Both companies were established over a century ago and Wearnes’ expertise in the luxury sector in Southeast Asia will play a key role in the brand’s development in Malaysia,”“I am thrilled to be here this evening to be amongst the first people in Malaysia to see the latest Bond film. Aston Martin has a long-standing partnership with James Bond, and it is fitting this new chapter with Wearnes starts on the same day as the film’s premiere here in Kuala Lumpur.”Gabor A. Csurgai, Regional Managing Director of Wearnes, said: “Wearnes is extremely honoured to have this opportunity to work with such an iconic British luxury brand in Malaysia. Aston Martin’s temporary showroom will be located along Jalan Ampang (No. 204) in Kuala Lumpur while its permanent facility is due to be operational in the near future.
