All-New Subaru Forester To Be Previewed At Carlist.my Drive Auto Fair 2019

The all-new Subaru Forester SUV will take centre stage at the upcoming Carlist.my Drive Auto Fair 2019 event happening this weekend.

First unveiled at the 2018 New York Motor Show, the Forester is built on the new Subaru Global Platform which boasts improved collision safety, better driving dynamics, greater comfort levels and integration of new active safety technology.

Under the hood is Subaru’s perennial 2.0-litre horizontally-opposed (Boxer) four-cylinder engine which generates approximately 156 PS and peak torque of 196 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Power is sent to a CVT-Type automatic transmission which in-turn distributes power to all four wheels through Subaru’s trademark Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.

The Forester’s driving performance is augmented through its 'SI Drive’ drive mode selector, which optimises the powertrain depending on what the driving situation.

Another hallmark of the new Subaru Forester is its Eyesight suite of active safety features. The Subaru Eyesight is a culmination of everything Subaru has learnt about vehicle safety; Eyesight combines active safety systems such as Pre-Collision Throttle Management and Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Sway Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

As for passive safety, the all-new Forester is equipped with a total of seven airbags as standard in all variants.
