AC Schnitzer (G29) BMW Z4 Unleashed – The Supra’s 400hp Roadster Cousin

Perennial BMW tuner, AC Schnitzer, has unleashed its upgraded version of the (G29) BMW Z4.

Based upon the BMW Z4 M40i – which famously shares its engine and underpinnings with the (A90) Toyota Supra – the AC Schnitzer Z4 has been given some performance tweaks; to now develop a whopping 400 hp (60 hp more than the standard car).

Elsewhere, AC Schnitzer has also developed sports rear tailpipe exits (two at each corner), finished in either "Sport Carbon" or "Sport black" for the exhaust system.

To handle the additional power, AC Schnitzer offers a height-adjustable RS coilover suspension system. The adjustable absorbers are designed with high residual spring travel for additional day-to-day comfort, while still allowing for ample tension/compression adjustment for more spirited driving. Customers can choose to lower their car between 15 - 25 mm (front and rear) using the AC Schnitzer sports spring set.

The aesthetic updates include AC Schnitzer front splitter, side skirts, and 2-piece rear spoiler which functionally improve downforce while adding to the car’s overall aggressive stance. Additionally, bonnet vents are also offered for better engine cooling. A Suite of AC Schnitzer emblems further demarcate this Z4 from the factory standard car. Along the flanks, customers can choose between the AC Schnitzer AC1- or AC3-style alloy wheels measuring 20-inches in diameter all round.

For the interior, AC Schnitzer offers an aluminium shift paddle set, aluminium pedals, aluminium footrest, and aluminium keyholder.
