2021 (XU80) Toyota Harrier Launched In Malaysia - From RM249k
所有资讯UMW Toyota Motor has officially launched the all-new 2021 Toyota Harrier to the Malaysian market. This fourth-generation model (codenamed XU80) lands on Malaysian shores just under a year after its global debut and replaces the XU60-generation Harrier, which was for the first time, was made available here officially in 2018.
The officially sold Toyota Harrier comes with a full factory five-year unlimited mileage warranty for absolute peace of mind with comprehensive after-sales support at all authorized Toyota service centres nationwide with ready availability of genuine parts.
The 2021 Harrier is larger and lower than its predecessor – it highlights more angular and chiselled bodylines; overall the body exudes a sportier presence, and like most premium SUVs these days, features a sloping roofline for a Coupe-like silhouette.
Toyota designers envisioned the concept of “Dignified Elegance” for the Harrier, which extends throughout the exterior and especially the interior, not only in terms of styling but with the use of high quality materials and finish, to define both individuality and quality in the new SUV.
One area that Toyota has paid special attention is reducing Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH), resulting in the use of highly efficient sound-absorbing windows for a quitter cabin space.
The all-new Harrier is powered by Toyota’s latest (M20A-FKS) Dynamic Force 2.0-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that outputs 173PS and 203Nm torque between 4,400rpm and 4,900rpm. The Harrier offers the Dynamic Force engine line-up (which the Camry notably didn’t get because of costs implications) which offers greater efficiency and power courtesy of the most advanced version of Toyota’s (dual) variable valve timing system.
Power is routed to the front wheels through a Toyota Direct-Shift CVT-type transmission which offers three drive modes – Eco, Normal and Sport.
The 2021 Harrier is based on Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) GA-K platform, the Harrier is engineered with a highly rigid body structure with a lower center of gravity. The width and wheelbase that is up by 20 mm and 30 mm respectively over its predecessor, while the height has been reduced by 30 mm.
As for safety, the Harrier is fitted with 7-airbags and Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) technologies, which include Pre-Crash System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) and Auto High-Beam Systems (AHS).
