2017 Subaru Forester 2.0i-S Makes Official Malaysian Debut. Priced at RM133,818

Previewed for the first time just a few days ago at the Carlist.my MAA DRIVE Test and Buy event in Setia City Convention Centre, Motor Image Malaysia, the authorised distributor of Subaru vehicles in Malaysia has officially launched the Forester 2.0i-S.

Positioned between the naturally-aspirated Forester 2.0i-P and the turbocharged Forester 2.0 XT, the 2.0i-S variant features several aesthetic enhancements both inside and outside.

Powered by the same naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine as the 2.0i-P variant producing 148hp and 198 Nm of maximum torque, power is delivered to all-four wheels via a CVT-type gearbox.

Setting it apart from the other two variants, the Forester 2.0i-S’ exterior features a new sports grille, front and rear under spoiler, carbon fibre panel interior trim,  as well as gun metal wing mirrors.

Inside, the 2.0i-S gets carbon fibre trims unlike the 2.0i-P’s aluminum trim. Besides that, the seats are clad in bespoke suede leather, while the 2.0i-P gets full leather upholstery.

Other standard features include LED headlights with LED DRLs, 17-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control system, powered rear liftgate, as well as a Kenwood infotainment system with a seven-inch touch-screen.

Priced at RM133,818 OTR without insurance, the Forester 2.0i-S is available in 5 colour options - Pure White, Silver Metallic, Dark Grey Metallic, Sepia Bronze Metallic and Obsidian Black Metallic.
