2017 Porsche 911 GT3 Launched, Priced From RM1.7 Million

Sime Darby Auto Performance, the official distributor of Porsche models in Malaysia has introduced the much-anticipated 2017 Porsche 911 GT3.

Priced from RM1.7 million (excluding registration fees, road tax and insurance), the new Porsche 911 GT3 is powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six that churns out 500 hp and 460 Nm. Available with a six-speed manual or seven-speed PDK, the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 can sprint from a dead stop to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds for the stick shift and 3.4 seconds for the PDK model. Top speed for the manual-equipped 911 GT3 is 320 km/h, whilst the PDK variant maxes out at 318 km/h.

Handling is backed by revised Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubbers, specially tuned for the 911 GT3. Additionally, the new GT3 sits 25 mm closer to the ground than the 911 Carrera S. Active rear-axle steering is also available on the new Porsche, alongside the dynamic engine mounts and rear differential lock.

The Porsche 911 GT3 gets a 360 mm sports steering wheel that’s taken out of the 918 Spyder. As standard, the 911 GT3 is fitted with Porsche Sports Seats Plus, though customers can opt for the adaptive Sports Seats Plus, sports bucket seats with folding backrest and the full bucket seats made out of carbon fibre.

Being a track-focused model, the Porsche 911 GT3 comes standard with the Porsche Track Precision app and Connect Plus module, which allows owners to display, record and analyze detailed driving data on their phones.
