2017 Mercedes-Benz E300 Joins W213 E-Class Range In Malaysia; CBU, RM459k

The four-pronged line-up of the W213 E-Class promised by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia last June has come to completion with the fully-imported E300 AMG Line officially launched today, joining the existing E200 Avantgarde, E250 Avantgarde, and E250 Exclusive variants.

Priced at RM458,888, the E300 AMG Line is a full RM33,000 costlier than the E250 Exclusive. Existing members of the W213 E-Class are priced as follows:

• E200 Avantgarde – 184hp, 300Nm, RM395,888
• E250 Avantgarde – 211hp, 350Nm, RM420,888
• E250 Exclusive – 211hp, 350Nm, RM425,888

At present, the W213 E-Class comes completely built-up (CBU) from Sindelfingen, Germany, but local-assembly is expected to come sometime this year.

Powering the E300 is the same 2.0-litre M274 turbo engine as seen in the E200 and E250, but tuned to higher outputs of 245hp and 370Nm sent to the rear wheel via a 9-speed automatic transmission. Top speed is electronically capped at 250 km/h with its 0-100km/h sprint time claimed at 6.2 seconds. Combined fuel consumption is rated at 6.3 litres/100km.

As part of its AMG Line trim specification, the E300 gets a full AMG bodykit with 19-inch five twin-spoke wheels. We had a preview of the E-Class in this appearance from our advance-spec E200 test car reviewed last November.
