2017 Kia Grand Carnival Previewed. Now Open for Booking

After much anticipation, the Kia Grand Carnival, or the Sedona as it is known in many parts of the world, has finally been previewed by Naza Kia, the authorised distributor of Kia vehicles in Malaysia at the ongoing MAI Malaysia Autoshow 2016.

Having gone through a complete transformation from what it was, the Grand Carnival now measures at 5,115mm long, 1,985mm wide and 1,740mm tall and comes with a wheelbase length of 3,060 mm long.

Featuring a more modern and bolder appearance, the Grand Carnival's exterior is highlighted by a new muscular front fascia, a fully integrated version of Kia's signature grille, xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, 19-inch wheels, powered sliding doors, a powered tailgate, as well as a roof spoiler.

Inside, the eight-seater MPV offers 960-litres of luggage space with all the seats up, and with the second and third row folded, the MPV offers a massive 4,022 litres for owners to store their belongings.

The list of standard equipment offered on the other hand, includes: 

• Two tone leather upholstery
• Tracked seating
• Push-start ignition
• Cruise control
• Automatic wiper 
• Triple zone automatic climate control
• Cluster ionizer
• Front and rear parking sensors
• Reverse camera
• Powered lumbar adjustment

Safety features on the other hand, includes:

• 6 airbags
• ABS
• EBD
• BA
• Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)
• Hill-start Assist
• Second and third row ISOFIX mounts

All set to go on sale in 2017, the Grand Carnival is powered by the same R 2.2-litre CRDi turbo diesel engine as the Sorento paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox, producing 193PS and 440Nm of maximum torque. 

According to Naza Kia, the Grand Carnival is already open for booking, and comes with a five years warranty with unlimited mileage.
