2015 Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG Drops Edition 1 In Malaysia, Price Reduced

The well-received 2015 Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG will no longer be sold in Malaysia with its Edition 1 stripes – tough luck if you’ve had your hopes pinned on one.

Why? Well, the Mercedes-Benz Edition 1 styling kit is typically limited to a first run of cars introduced in a country, and that span has now run out.

Prices for the car appear to have been reduced ever so slightly, shedding RM2,000 over the previous RM348,888, to now RM346,888.

All other major specifications have been retained, which sees Mercedes-Benz Malaysia specifying the car as closely as they can to the Edition 1 model. This includes the exterior AMG Night Package (front splitter, side sill inserts, rear apron trims, exterior mirror housings) and Aerodynamics Package styling kit in gloss black (additional flics on front apron, bigger front splitter, AMG rear aero-foil), and 19-inch multi-spoke AMG alloy wheels, etc.

Apart from the stripes and red decals, the only other big difference on the exterior of this and the Edition 1 model is the lack of a sunroof in the 2015 model.

Inside, all Edition 1 badges are no more, but the same upholstery and AMG Performance fittings and more are exactly as they were before. The AMG Performance seats are still in their embossed leather with red stripes, likewise with the various red top stitching on the three-spoke steering wheel, door armrests, and shift lever.
