2015 F56 MINI John Cooper Works Debuts In Malaysia, From RM289k
购买指南As expected, MINI Group Malaysia has officially launched the all-new 2015 MINI John Cooper Works (F56) hatch in Malaysia, at the on-going BMW World Malaysia 2015 event.
Loaded with a brand new architecture, more powerful engine, reworked suspension and uprated brakes, the new F56 JCW hatch is officially the most potent production series MINI money can buy in Malaysia.
Speaking of which, the new JCW won’t cost you a penny more than it did before, retailing now from the same RM288,888 (without insurance, inclusive of GST) as before.
Powering the super-hot MINI hatch is a 2.0-litre MINI TwinPower four-cylinder twin-scroll turbo engine which develops 231hp and 320Nm of torque (350Nm with the overboost function). A six-speed torque converter automatic is charged with delivering all that power to the front wheels, and help the two-door hatch dash to 100km/h in just 6.1 seconds; top speed is 246km/h.
The exterior of the car sees the regular F56 MINI bestowed the full suite of JCW enhancements. Apart from the heft of JCW badges, the vehicle is also made unique by its new JCW specific front and rear bumper, bonnet stripes, 18-inch light alloy wheels, large rear spoiler and various other bits you’ll only find on these John Cooper Works specials.
Dinamica leather combination upholstery in carbon black colours give the seats its sex appeal, while little needs to be said about the gorgeous and standout switchgear of the car, now dressed up with further go-faster kit courtesy of the JCW appointments.
For entertainment and communication, there’s the latest version of the MINI Connected infotainment offerings, and a fully integrated Navigation System Professional. The massive 8.8-inch LCD display screen as seen on the regular F56 is retained, along with the touchpad controller on the center console. A MINI Head-Up Display is also all standard stuff here.
As mentioned, total selling price for the super-hot F56 MINI JCW is as before, at RM288,888. The price includes a three-year or 50,000km (which comes first) coverage on all wear and tear repairs for you MINI, as well as other maintenance work and services including oil, labour, and required original MINI parts.
