Volkswagen Golf R-Line Now With Leather Seats, Priced From RM159,888

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has introduced the new Golf R-Line with 'R-Line' Vienna leather seat upholstery. The Golf R-Line was initially launched with fabric seats two months ago. 

With this seat upholstery upgrade, the Golf 1.4TSI R-Line is now priced from RM159,888 (without road tax, registration fees and GST), or from just RM1,669 per month. 

To recap, the Golf R-Line comes with the 'R-Line' styling package, which includes 'R-Line' front and rear bumpers, rear spoiler, 'R-Line' badges on its radiator grille and side panels  - and now the new 'R-Line' combination-leather upholstery. Tyres in 225/45R17 size wrap around the Singapore-design 17-inch alloy wheels.  

Meanwhile, the Golf R-Line’s 1.4TSI turbocharged engine delivers an impressive output of 150 PS and a torque of 250 Nm between 1,500 to 3,500rpm. Mated to the 7-speed dry clutch direct shift gearbox (DSG), the Golf R-Line accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 8.2 seconds while returning a very frugal 5.2 litre/100 kilometre combined cycle fuel consumption.

The cabin of the Golf R-Line features a large 12.3-inch Active Info Display and an 8-inch Composite Media infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Other notable interior equipment includes:

• Brushed Dark Metal inserts for passenger side dashboard and door trim
• Kessy keyless entry with push start button
• Polar Night Black inserts on driver side dashboard and centre console
• Aluminium sport foot pedals
