VIDEO: Watch The Moment A Driver Sets Fire To A Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario

Remember that shocking fire that saw the death of a brand-new Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario in Dubai not too long ago? Well, a new video that has been recently uploaded onto the internet has shed some light as to how the incident took place and suffice to say, this isn’t an act you want to follow.

At that time, Instagram user victoria.vikki was reported to have rented the exotic machine, of which there are only 100 examples in the world mind you (the other 100 are coupes), and after a mere 30 minutes of driving the Lamborghini, it caught fire on a stretch of road near the Dubai Marina.

However, this new video shows us just what happened to the Lamborghini during said “30 minutes”, as the car is seen hastily making its way down a street in Dubai, appearing to “race” against a Ferrari 458 Spider as well. As the pair of supercars reach a traffic light and stop, the driver of the Lamborghini begins revving the engine repeatedly (at the 1.30 mark) until flames spit out of the exhaust and latch onto the rear intake grille of the Aventador before spreading to the rest of the car. Certainly the sound of 700PS is a delight to the ears but we don't think revving the car harshly while it is stationary was a wise move on the part of the driver.

After that, well, you can see for yourself, as the flames engulf and destroys the car, beginning with its massive 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine and continuing on to the rest of the supercar. At that point, the total original unit count of the limited-number supercar ends up being reduced by one, resulting in tears being shed with the loss of a very rare Lamborghini.
