Updated 2020 Ford Ranger XLT Plus Launched – RM129,888, Four Times Free Service

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia has announced the introduction of the new 2020 Ford Ranger XLT Plus, featuring a few upgrades over the current model.

The Ranger XLT Plus facelift now comes with enhanced features similar to the Ranger WildTrak and Raptor – new high-performance Bi-LED headlamps, new body-coloured bumper design finished with a silver bumper lip, as well as a new chrome grille that is exclusive to the Ranger XLT Plus.

Powering the Ranger XLT Plus is a 2.0L Single-Turbo engine that is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission capable of delivering 180PS of power and 420Nm of torque.

Standard features include keyless entry with push-start-button, Easy Lift Tailgate, an eight-inch touchscreen display, SYNC multimedia system with reversing camera, electronic shift-on-the-fly 4x4, rain-sensing wipers, and Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) among other goodies.

The truck also comes with two airbags, Limited Slip Differential, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, Rollover Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control, Adaptive Load Control and Ford MyKey.

Priced at RM129,888 (on-the-road, without insurance), the 2020 Ford Ranger XLT Plus comes in five colour options (Aluminium Metallic, Arctic White, Lightning Blue, Meteor Grey and Absolute Black), as well as a full manufacturer’s warranty of three years or up to 100,000km, whichever comes first.

Separately, SDAC also introduced a new promotion offering four (4) free vehicle service and cash rebate options for selected Ranger vehicles until 31 December 2020.

Aimed at offering customers more savings and a lower cost of ownership, customers who purchase selected Ford Ranger Raptor, WildTrak and XLT Plus variants will have the option of four (4) free vehicle service that is equivalent to a two-year free maintenance or up to 40,000km, whichever comes first or a RM2,000 cash rebate.

As for the Ranger XL and Ranger XLT, customers can also enjoy up to RM7,000 cash rebate for selected variants.
