UMW Toyota Motor Updates The Toyota Fortuner For 2015

Recently, UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd introduced a series of minor updates for its Toyota Fortuner. Mostly, they are cosmetic changes applied on the outside of the vehicle along with the introduction of optional accessories

The on-the-road price (individual private registration with insurance, metallic color, Peninsular Malaysia) are as follows:

• Toyota Fortuner 2.5G (D) A/T - RM 172,122.20
• Toyota Fortuner 2.5G (D) A/T TRD Sportivo - RM 175,580.20
• Toyota Fortuner 2.7V (P) A/T - RM 179,841.30
• Toyota Fortuner 2.7V (D) A/T TRD Sportivo - RM 172,122.20

Beginning with the aforementioned cosmetic changes, the headlamps and rear combination lamps now have a dark bezel around it. Additionally, the projector headlights now feature an outer lens covering them to produce a more noticeable protrusion. Just below those headlamps, you will find LED daytime running lights (DRLs).

Adding to this list of exterior changes, the 2015 Toyota Fortuner also receives two more exteriors colours to choose from a possible five. Attitude Black and Grey Metallic join the existing three choices of Medium Silver Metallic, Solid White and Silver Metallic. These five colours are available for all the Fortuner variants.

In the cabin, the 7-seat interior uses the same theme of ‘Advanced & Prestige’. Black woodgrain panels in the Fortuner 2.7V can be found to provide a 'prestigious' image.

As we mentioned, UMW Toyota Motor is also offering Fortuner customers the option of a DVD Audio-Video Navigation (DVD-AVN) system. The 7-inch capacitive touchscreen infotainment unit responds to hand and air gestures and has the ability to connect to smartphones, Android and iOS alike using WiFi, making it possible to access the internet the built-in internet browser app.

It also has Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition for the audio, phone, and navigation systems. Other features of the DVD-AVN system include Miracast with support of select applications, HDMI connectivity, reverse camera, and as a related optional accessory, the rear seat entertainment system is available in two versions – ceiling-mounted monitor and integrated DVD player OR monitor alone interfacing with the DVD-AVN system.

Another optional accessory is a portable tyre pump to re-inflate the tyre as and when needed.

Buyers of the Toyota Fortuner will receive a 3-year/100,000 km (whichever occurs earlier after first registration) warranty, subject to conditions stated in the owner’s handbook.
