This counters the announcement from arch rival Honda Malaysia’s plan of launching the same number of models this year. Speaking at the Toyota Media Night earlier this evening, Mr. Ravindran Kurusamy, President of UMW Toyota Motor also added that the company aims to sell 70,000 units this year. It's a far cry from the 100,000 units that the company used to achieve until it was usurped by Honda, but customer service, rather than setting lofty targets, will be the company's focus for 2017.We can be certain that the Toyota Vios facelift that was introduced in Thailand earlier this year will be launched some time in 2017. As for the remaining three models, these are most likely additional variants of existing Toyota models, most probably additional variants of the Innova and Fortuner. The four models that we mentioned earlier does not include the C-HR, which we understand that the new compact SUV is primed for a 2018 debut instead.Last but not least, UMW Toyota Motor has confirmed that they will also be introducing the Lexus LC 500 locally. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
