Trading Of DRB-Hicom Shares Suspended, Foreign Partner To Be Announced

The Star has reported that DRB-Hicom is prepared to make a material announcement. The company has requested Bursa Malaysia Securities for suspension in trading of its securities starting from 9am on Wednesday (24/5).

DRB-Hicom reported that Bursa Malaysia Securities has given them the greenlight its trading suspension request.

Additionally, The Star also reported that the counter closed 1 sen lower at RM1.68 on Tuesday.

At the moment, DRB-Hicom is going through bidders bidding to be Proton's foreign strategic partner (FSP). Earlier, DRB-Hicom hoped to finish the search by the first half of the year. 

The main purpose of the FSP search is critical to turn Proton around and make it more competitive.
