From a selection of alphabets, you can stick any name or word of your choice on the bootlid. For a limited time, however, early customers of the Toyota C-HR in Thailand will get a complimentary customized nameplate from the manufacturer.Available only until 28 February 2018, customers can order the nameplate online, after which Toyota will arrange for it to be delivered to your doorstep enclosed in a nice-looking box. Sticking the badge is self-service though, so be sure to have steady hands for this. The customized nameplate is one of a number of featured previewed by Toyota for the Thai market ahead of the compact crossover’s launch in the kingdom next year. Toyota recently opened bookings of the C-HR in Thailand, offering customers a choice between two 1.8-litre engines – petrol Dual VVT-i and Hybrid – priced from THB 1,000,000 to THB 1,200,000.Assembled in Thailand, from which the car will also be exported to Malaysia, the C-HR is based on Toyota’s latest-generation TNGA platform which features, amongst others, all-round independent suspension including rear double wishbones. Toyota also claims the new platform provides the C-HR with a lower centre of gravity, thus enabling better handling.Top-spec variant of the Thai market, comes with Toyota Safety Sense package that includes autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, active lane keeping assist, radar-guided cruise control, and automatic high beam. Two top variants also offer a telematics package offering users an added level of connectivity to the car.
