The new Toyota Rush was recently tested by ASEAN NCAP and was given a 4-star rating.
The Indonesia-made seven-seater SUV scored 12.47 points out of a maximum of 16 for adult occupant protection (frontal-impact).
In child safety, the Rush scored an 82 percent compliance rate, tested with two ISOFIX-compatible Toyota ISO Base child seats - the i-Size Midi for a dummy 3-year old infant and a Mini ISO Base for a dummy 1.5-years old infant.
As a four-star rating car, the Rush was also tested for side-impact in accordance to UN R95 regulations (pass/fail rating only), which it passed.
The new Rush was launched in Malaysia in April this year, with a starting price of RM97,258.
