The tyre market is both incredibly competitive and an incredibly slow burn at the time - which is why it feels like tyre manufacturers are always releasing new products, but you will probably not have the chance to try them before your tyres are due for a change. In this part of the world, the focus is on longevity and wet grip - but a tyre can be so much more than that. The upcoming Toyo Proxes CR1, due to launch virtually on the 19th of November, is going to be a premium tyre available in both passenger car and SUV flavours. In addition to the aforementioned qualities, the Proxes CR1 also improves fuel efficiency with lower rolling resistance and has great dry grip for when you are enjoying a spot of spirited driving. This is achieved through the T-Mode and Nano Balance Technology - the former allows for precise virtual testing of the tyres in real world conditions, and the latter allows for simulation of tyre construction on an atomic level. In a nutshell, some very clever computers and programmers worked with some very clever engineers to produce a good tyre. The livestream will be listed on the Toyo Tyre Malaysia Facebook page on the 19th of November at 9 pm, GMT+8, and during the virtual event, Tengku Djan Ley will be present to share his own feedback after having run the Proxes CR1 on his Mercedes-Benz C230. There are even prizes to be won: the first three people to like, share, and answer all five questions will win one set of Proxes CR1, while the next fifty people to do so will get an RM20 Petronas petrol card each. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
