Toyo Proxes TR1 Launched – Priced From RM 199

Toyo Tyre Malaysia has introduced the new Proxes TR1 range of tires, developed as a successor to the Proxes T1R range.

According to the company, the new TR1 combines elements from the Proxes Sport and Proxes T1R, with aggressive thread design on the tyre’s shoulders that was inspired by the Proxes T1R, while the long slant grooves and open lateral slits for improved water drainage was inspired by the Proxes Sport.

Unique to the new Toyo TR1 is a thread wear indicator that uses five stars to provide users with a visualization for wear progress. The thread wear indicator starts with five stars, with the amount of stars gradually decreasing as the tire’s wear progresses.

Toyo Tyre Malaysia also claims that the new TR1 boasts a 16% improvement in wet handling and braking performance over the Proxes T1R.

The Toyo Proxes TR1 is available in 24 sizes, ranging from 15- to 19-inches, with recommended retail prices ranging from RM 199 to RM 800 per tyre, depending on the size.

In conjunction with the launch of the Toyo TR1, customers that purchase a set of four tires in May 2019 will receive a Targus bag worth RM 109, while stocks last.

Customers can get the Proxes TR1 at any of the 74 Toyo Centres nationwide.
