Home News Auto News RM402,354 for the BMW M340i CKD and RM264,613 for the 330e M Sport RM402,354 for the BMW M340i CKD and RM264,613 for the 330e M Sport Auto News Gokul | October 22, 2020 11:50 am And so the cat is out of the bag, BMW Malaysia today announced the confirmed pricing for the M340i xDrive and G20 330e M Sport and it is as we expected. From spy shots, to document sightings to industry sources, we finally have the confirmed prices for the BMW M340i xDrive which comes in at RM402,354 including SST. This places it at an RM2,000 premium over its direct rival, the Mercedes-AMG C43. The G20 330e M Sport on the other hand is priced at RM264,613 (OTR) after the SST discount until 31 December 2020. Complementing the G20 330i M Sport and 320i Sport in BMW Malaysia’s product portfolio, the M340i xDrive will also be the first-ever BMW M car to be locally assembled (CKD) at BMW Malaysia’s facility in Kulim, Kedah along with the 330e. Before the arrival of the controversial 2020 BMW M3, the M340i was in fact, the most powerful variant of the current 3 Series range. Also dubbed as the “Baby M3”, the M340i is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-litre engine producing 387 hp and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. Paired to the engine is an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. When in Sport mode, the gearing is configured to give you the best performance. What that actually means, we'll wait for the test-drive to tell you. Being an M, the addition of a Launch Control function helps the M340i xDrive to a 0 to 100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds – half a second faster than the previous generation (F30) BMW 340i. The G20 330e M Sport meanwhile is not exactly new news. The B48 4-cylinder 2.0 engine on the 330e will come with BMW Twinpower Turbo and Xtraboost technology, making a combined output of 292 hp and 420 Nm of torque. The more sedate and environmentally friendly 330e does the century sprint in a spritely 5.9 seconds with a fuel rating of 2.2 litres for 100 kilometers. The 12kWh lithium-ion battery gives the 330e a range of approximately 60km with a top speed of 140km/h on electricity. Seeing as how many of us in the Klang Valley usually live within a 20km radius of our workplaces, one could quite comfortably just rely on the battery for the commute to and from work. As for the interior, the M340i features M-specific upholstery in Sensatec/Alcantara trim, anthracite BMW Individual roof liner, an M leather-clad steering, and aluminium Tetragon shift paddles. Additionally, the digital instrument cluster bears the lettering "M340i". The M340i will come in Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Portimao Blue, and Sunset Orange. The interior of the 330e M Sport is similar to that of the M340i. The anthracite BMW roof liner, aluminium Tetragon finishes are shared across the two models together with either the black or cognac Vernasca leather upholstery. The 330e will come in Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Portimao Blue, Mineral Grey and Sunset Orange. The 330e will also afford owners a limited-time offer of an 8-year or 160,000km extended hybrid battery warranty for purchases made between now and 31 December 2020. Owners of the BMW M340i, will receive the complete BMW Malaysia Premium Ownership guarantee consisting of: 5-year Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service Programme Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline BMW Group Loyalty+ Mobile app BMW Service Online ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
