The Volkswagen Arteon Is Open For Booking - From RM 290k

Having made its round on social media, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia has decided to announce that the Arteon R-Line is officially open for booking, with prices expected to be between RM 290,000 and RM 310,000 depending on the variant you pick. The broad strokes for the Arteon are as follows: a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine pushing 280 PS and 350 Nm of torque, a 7-speed wet-clutch DSG dual-clutch gearbox, 4MOTION all-wheel drive, and a fastback body based on Volkswagen's excellent MQB platform.

The Arteon is said to be the successor to the CC, which succeeded the Passat CC. It's larger than the Passat as we know it, which is surprising given its sleeker proportions and the overall sportier aspect of the car. At this price it will be the most expensive model in the Volkswagen model on offer in Malaysia, as we no longer have the Touareg available in our market, making it a flagship for the Volkswagen range.

Equipment highlights include the new Active Info Display, which allows for customization and a full map view, along with the new Discover Pro infotainment system which runs through a 9.2-inch screen with gesture control and Wireless App-Connect through CarPlay, Android Auto, and Mirror Link. There is even a 360-degree area view camera that allows for easy positioning and parking of the car in tight spots. 

The Arteon will be made available here with both interior and exterior R-Line styling elements, and will have eight colours available - Manganese Grey, Deep Black, Reflex Silver, Romance Red, Urano Grey, Oryx White Pearl, Pyrite Silver, and - as you've seen in photos - Turmeric Yellow.
