Home News Auto News The Proton X50 Is Officially Here – 4 Variants, Priced From RM79,200 Onwards The Proton X50 Is Officially Here – 4 Variants, Priced From RM79,200 Onwards Auto News Arvind | October 27, 2020 03:41 pm We’ve ogled at its style and pizazz, we’ve combed through its comprehensive product features, and we’ve been exhilarated by its tiny but punchy powertrain, now, with the conclusion of its virtual launch – the most anticipated model of 2020, the Proton X50 is finally here. With the launch we finally know the prices of the four locally-assembled variants on offer: X50 1.5T Standard: RM79,200 X50 1.5T Executive: RM84,800 X50 1.5T Premium: RM93,200 X50 1.5 TGDi Flagship: RM103,300 All Prices are OTR Excluding Insurance, and include government-mandated Sales Tax Exemption, valid until the 31st of December 2020. As you probably already know by now, all four variants are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine in two power levels – the lower-powered ‘port-injected’ powerplant, dubbed 1.5T outputs 150 PS and 226 Nm of torque, while the more powerful ‘direct-injected’ 1.5 TGDi (High Output) outputs 177 PS and 255 Nm of torque. In all cases, power is routed to the front wheels through a 7-speed (wet) double-clutch gearbox (DCT) similar to the unit found in the Proton X70. The highlight of the interior is the infotainment system – which comprises an 8-inch infotainment unit in the two entry-level variants and a new 10.25-inch landscape ‘floating type’ infotainment system atop the centre console in the two premium variants. The new infotainment system is augmented by the latest generation “GKUI 19” operating system and utilises a powerful ‘E01’ Quad-Core processing unit for a smoother user experience. As for the range-topping Flagship variant, it will be offered with a suite of Active Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) which include: Blind Spot Information System Intelligent High Beam Control Forward Collision Warning Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection Lane Departure Warning Lane Keep Assist Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go Intelligent Cruise Control The Flagship variant also gets a dual-tone exterior, and a panoramic sunroof.
