Home News Auto News The Mercedes-Benz B-Class Is Back – One Variant, RM239,888 The Mercedes-Benz B-Class Is Back – One Variant, RM239,888 Auto News Gokul | October 23, 2020 11:17 am Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has announced the introduction of the new third generation B-Class in the form of the B200 Progressive Line. The model will only be available in one variant mentioned above, with an asking price of RM239,888 on the road without insurance. Powering the B200 Progressive Line is the same 1.3-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine as the A200, producing 163hp and 350 Nm of torque. Paired to the engine is a 7-speed DCT gearbox which enables the car to clock a top speed of 223km/h and do the century sprint in 8.2 seconds. On the exterior, key features include 18-inch light-alloy wheels, a squat, progressive front end with flowing transition from bonnet to the windscreen, two-part tail lamps, rear bumper reflectors, a black rear bumper bottom section with a chrome trim strip, a large roof spoiler, as well as high-gloss black spoilers at the sides of the rear window. Inside, the new B-Class features Black Artico leather upholstery, Comfort Seats in the rear, a centre console with touch-based control and input system similar to the E-Class, as well as ambient lighting with 64 colours. The list of standard equipment in new B-Class includes the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) multimedia system, a high-resolution Widescreen cockpit, navigation display with Augmented Reality technology, and voice control with natural speech recognition, which is activated by saying “Hey Mercedes”. The new B-Class also comes with driving assistance systems such as Blind Spot Assist, and also Active Brake Assist which can help mitigate the severity of rear-end collisions with slower-moving, stopping or stationary vehicles ahead.
